One of the main outcomes of COP27 is the establishment of a loss and damage fund to save livelihoods and support low- and middle-income economies qualified to be as the main victims of the violent disasters hitting the planet. Disasters are often associated to the global steadily increase of GHG emissions. Parties have also reaffirmed their support and highlighted the necessity for the adoption of clean innovative solutions that would help to deliver the SDGs societal, economic and health goals. Within this context, Sophia was promoted in the IIR booth highlighting the project potential to build an efficient, climate resilient food and health sectors infrastructure addressing the African continent needs while cutting their associated emissions.
