The inauguration ceremony for the SophiA containers will be held June 27, 2024 at Leo Hospital
Finally, after two and a half years of development, testing, installation, waiting for components, shipping, and customs, the first SophiA systems are installed at the Operieren Hospital in Afrika in Leo, Burkina Faso. Thanks to a dedicated and qualified team composed of the various project partners, the commissioning of the first SophiA system took only two weeks.
Burkina Faso is the first of the four pilot countries (https://sophia4africa.eu/demonstration-sites/) to have received and installed the containers. These installations are now fully operational and ready for commissioning. A launch ceremony is the perfect opportunity to inaugurate the containers and celebrate a major milestone in SophiA’s progress. The latter will take place in parallel with the on-site training of technicians from June 24 to 28, 2024 in Kombissiri and Leo.
