In November, MAK, member of the SophiA consortium, will participate to the conference organized by the Alliance for Modernizing African Agrifood Systems (AMAA). The theme of the conference is: “Imagining African Agrifood Systems Looking Forward”. It is the occasion for MAK to present and promote the SophiA project.

AMAA is an initiative of the American Society for Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). This conference, summit, and technology showcase is the first in a series of events to be hosted in different parts of Africa by the Alliance, to explore the development and adoption of modern technologies to accelerate improvements in the agricultural value chains in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The conference is aligned with the AMAA-ASABE’s mission to promote modernization of African agrifood value chains from production to consumption through development and deployment of modern technologies and methodologies.
