From 24 to 26 June 2023, the World Refrigeration Day was held in Douala, Cameroon. This event was organised by the Association of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Professionals in Cameroon (APFCC) and the Union of African Associations of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Professionals (U-3ARC). This event, focusing on the theme “Refrigeration Speaks to Humanity,” emphasised environmentally friendly and sustainable refrigeration and air conditioning technologies.
During this event, Ms. Jeanne Aurélie ABOMO AYINDA, Head of the National Partnership Cell at the Ministry of Public Health of Cameroon, and Coordinator of the SophiA project, presented the project in great detail.
Numerous participants attended the World Refrigeration Day, including the Cameroonian governor of the Littoral region and the Minister of Water and Energy of Cameroon. Media outlets were also present, such as the TV channel CAM10 Television. They aired a report on World Refrigeration Day during their 8 p.m. news bulletin on 26 June 2023.
