
SophiA at CONSOLFOOD2025
We are thrilled to announce that Heike Hoedt from Simply Solar will present the SophiA project at the upcoming Sixth International Conference CONSOLFOOD – Advances in Solar Thermal Food Processing (CONSOLFOOD2025). The event will take place in Marseille, France, from May 5 to 7, 2025, at Aix Marseille University and Le Présage solar restaurant.
About CONSOLFOOD2025
CONSOLFOOD2025 focuses on promoting solar thermal energy as a sustainable alternative to traditional cooking methods. In many developing countries, cooking still relies on wood, charcoal, and other polluting fuels, leading to deforestation, greenhouse gas emissions, and health issues. Even in sunny regions of the developed world, solar cooking remains underutilized. The conference will bring together experts, researchers, and practitioners to explore the latest advancements in solar food processing.
