SophiA at the Global Partnership for African Development (GPAD) Forum 2024
SophiA to be represented by SEZ at the Global Partnership for African Development (GPAD) Forum 2024
On October 9th, 2024, the Global Partnership for African Development (GPAD) Forum will host its 7th edition at the hy-fcell fair in Stuttgart. Organised by Lead Africa International, this year’s forum will focus on “Unlocking Africa’s Renewable Energy Potentials”, bringing together top-tier speakers, networking opportunities, and engaging roundtable discussion.
SEZ, a prominent European research institute, will be representing the SophiA project at the event. Dr. Frederick von Netzer, a key figure in the project, will deliver an in-person oral presentation highlighting SophiA’s groundbreaking work in facilitating access to clean energy for healthcare facilities across Africa.
The SophiA project is dedicated to promoting sustainable development by enabling reliable, neutral energy sources in African healthcare institutions. The project focuses on locally developed and cost-effective solar containers that provide essential services such as safe drinking water, thermal energy for hospitals, refrigeration for medical supplies, and backup electricity for critical operations. These innovations are pivotal in advancing healthcare services and economic growth in the region.
The GPAD Forum is a hybrid event, allowing participants to attend both in person and virtually. Registration is currently open on the official website.
