HKA and OST-SPF partners are organising the SophiA Train the Trainers course on September 15-16, 2025, followed by the final SophiA Consortium Meeting on September 17-18, 2025, and technical visits of refrigeration systems on September 19, 2025, in Karlsruhe, Germany.

This key event will bring together project partners to deepen their knowledge of SophiA’s innovative, off-grid solutions for hospitals and pharmacies in Africa, integrating natural refrigerants, solar thermal energy, and photovoltaics.

🔹Visit of Klima Arena in Sinsheim  (Sept. 14)

🔹 Train the Trainers Course (Sept. 15-16): Participants will be introduced to the latest SophiA technologies and trained to transfer their knowledge to stakeholders in their respective countries. The refrigeration and water modules will take place at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA), while the solar module will be hosted by SPF Institute for Solar Technology (OST) in Rapperswil, Switzerland.

🔹 Final Consortium Meeting (Sept. 17-18): The last in-person gathering of the SophiA consortium will be a crucial milestone for discussing the remaining project activities, final reporting, and post-project maintenance of installed systems. Register here.

🔹 Technical Visits (Sept. 19): A series of site visits to Bitzer factory and Bitzer training center to explore the manufactured compressors for SophiA refrigeration systems
